I started learning with Dorothy as an adult beginner, about two years ago. My background in music was pretty limited when we started up; I always loved music but never really considered playing an instrument. Dorothy has been teaching me with passion, sensitivity, patience and enthusiasm.</br> She is a very experienced teacher with a deep love of music, who not only teaches what to practice, but more importantly how to practice and gives clear and concise explanations. As an adult learner, I am also drawn to music theory, and Dorothy has helped me understand theory to the extent that it is useful and of interest to me.
